Henna 101-4: Stronger Foundations for a Meaningful Practice: Live Zoom Group

This course is for beginners, self-taught pros, or anyone who wants a more solid understanding of this ancient art form. Build community with fellow artists as you learn what henna is, where it comes from (history/culture), how/where to use it for best stains on the body, and what specific techniques/shapes to practice to improve skills. Class materials will be sent prior to class. Pay between $60 & 120 based on your budget & the value of the class to you. 6-9 hrs together & Maker Oasis access

I recommend a two-hour session for a first-time client so we can go deeply into your experience so far, your vision, and what obstacles you feel you're facing. After a two-hour session (in person or remotely), clients will have a clear outline of next steps. If further support is desired, one-hour sessions provide time to check-in, measure progress, and plan strategy for further growth. Benefit from my experience and wealth of tips and techniques for leveling up your creative vision.

The two-hour lesson is for the student who needs to get a great deal accomplished in one go...ideally, a beginner's first lesson is 2 hours long to give sufficient time to go over techniques, tools, materials, and have time to get deeply into the work.

This lesson includes a half hour's instruction and materials for learning henna application including information sheets and a small cone of all-natural, homemade henna paste. For students with at least an hour's prior experience. Group henna lessons are also available.

This lesson includes 150 minutes of instruction and materials for learning henna application including information sheets and three full cones of all-natural, homemade henna paste. This is an appropriate time allotment for a full, private Henna Workshop as listed in the group classes plus extended one-on-one feedback regarding technique.

This appointment secures you 15 minutes to pick up or drop off a pre-arranged project or purchase, OR gives you time to purchase henna cones, gift certificates, or other sale items. During holiday season hours, booking a slot to shop ensures you don't have to wait for henna clients to finish their appointments. Marbled stationery and some calligraphy prints will be on display during the holidays. Cash, checks, and credit cards accepted.
